As Chief Operating Officer, Dave believes strong operations begin with strong people, leading with a focus on trust, respect, and collaboration. Whether supporting career development, helping teams navigate challenges, or celebrating their achievements, Dave finds the greatest reward in seeing people grow and succeed.

Drawing on nearly two decades of executive leadership experience across Nova Scotia Power, Emera Energy, and Tampa Electric, Dave oversees both Power Production and Energy Delivery operations. From power-generating facilities to Nova Scotia's extensive network of substations and critical infrastructure, his operations teams help ensure the reliable delivery of electricity that customers depend on every day.

Dave holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Nova Scotia (now Dalhousie University), is a board member of the Nova Scotia’s Greenspring Bio-innovation Hub, and a member of Cape Breton University’s Alumni Advisory Council. Dave is also a member of the National Executive Forum on Public Property and is chair of Electricity Canada’s Generation Council.

He is a former member of Electric Power Research Institute Generation Council, the Association of Edison Illuminating Companies, and the Hillsborough Education Foundation.

Dave’s previous roles include vice president roles at Emera Energy and Tampa Electric and senior leadership roles within Power Production at Nova Scotia Power.
